Overview

If you forget your Atlas account password or want to reset it for security reasons, follow this step-by-step guide to create a new password and regain access to your account safely and quickly.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Go to the Atlas Login Page

Open your preferred web browser.
Navigate to the Atlas login page at:
https://your-atlas-url.com/login (replace with the actual URL)

2. Click on the "Forgot Password?" Link

Below the password entry field, locate and click on the "Forgot Password?" link.
This will take you to the password reset request form.

3. Enter Your Registered Email Address

In the form, type the email address that you have registered with your Atlas account.
Double-check to ensure there are no typos.
Click Submit or Send Reset Link.

4. Check Your Email Inbox

Open your email client associated with that address.
Look for an email titled "Reset Your Atlas Password".
If you don’t see it within a few minutes, check your spam or junk folders.

5. Click the Password Reset Link

Open the email and click the password reset link provided.
This link will expire after a certain time (usually 24 hours) for security.

6. Choose a New Secure Password

On the reset page, enter a new password. Make sure it meets security criteria:
- Minimum 8 characters
- Mix of uppercase and lowercase letters
- At least one number or special character
Re-enter the password to confirm.

7. Submit the New Password

Click the Reset Password or Save button.
You will see a confirmation message indicating the password has been changed successfully.

8. Log In with Your New Password

Return to the Atlas login page.
Enter your email and new password to access your account.

Tips for a Strong Password

Avoid using common words or sequences like "password123".
Use a password manager for better security.
Change your password regularly to keep your account safe.

What to Do if You Don’t Receive the Reset Email

Verify that you entered the correct email address.
Search your spam or junk folders.
Add Atlas support email (support@your-atlas-domain.com) to your contacts or safe sender list.
